For offshore operators, time is money. Delays in mobilisation can seriously impact profitability.

Global Offshore experienced this challenge with their Q1400 Subsea Trencher system. Mobilisation was both complex and slow.

Houlder stepped in with a solution. We designed a modular deck grillage system that could fit both the primary vessel and any vessel of opportunity. It was flexible and adaptive.

Our approach? A system that was road transportable and stackable, reducing the need for seafastening and eliminating underdeck stiffening. This design slashed both time and costs.

We collaborated closely with Global Offshore, taking the project from concept to installation in just 12 weeks. The system is now operational on the Normand Cutter.

A 40% reduction in mobilisation time and future costs cut by 50%. A modular solution that's ready for reuse.
