Welcoming North East Supply Chain

Houlder is delighted to announce it is the Welcome Sponsor for the NOF Energy Offshore Wind NE conference, November 8th, Newton Aycliffe. Houlder’s operation in Boldon Tyneside has enjoyed its role in the North East supply chain since 2011.  Since forming then, it has doubled in size and won two South Tyneside Business Awards for innovation and manufacturing.

Offshore Wind North East, organised by NOF Energy as part of its ongoing commitment to the region’s energy industry,  is a leading conference that explores themes and opportunities across the wind energy sector.  It brings together an impressive line-up of speakers, exhibitors and sponsors including the Durham Energy Institute, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, GE Renewables, Innogy, ScottishPower Renewables, Orsted, Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farms and Shell Wind.

Alongside Houlder, other members of the North East supply chain will be providing local industry insights and sharing lessons learned from a range of projects. In Houlder’s case this includes supplying Galloper, the Walney Farm extension, Horns Rev 3, Rampion and Aberdeen Bay offshore installation projects. Equipment designed and supplied includes pile foundation gripper arms, pile lifting and upending tools, jacket lifting tools (below) and deck storage, handling equipment and sea fastenings.

As the Welcome Sponsor, Houlder is looking forward to acting as host to the events 300 expected guests. You will see our exhibition stand right by the hall entrance and our information on the reception screens.

“Charting a ‘solo’ course through this swirl of uncertainty is close to impossible. That’s why we’re often asked by clients to build their knowledge, evaluate their challenges and assess their options. We work closely with research funds and clean-tech providers by bringing decades of industry experience to bear. Our position is independent, technical ‘client friend’ for the decarbonising decades ahead.”
