Strathclyde University Engineering Gala Dinner

Houlder continued our relationship with Strathclyde University last month by hosting a table at their Gala Dinner networking event. The dinner is unique within the UK engineering sector and has grown substantially since it was first established in 2000, making this year the 20th anniversary of the event. Houlder continues to have relationships with other centres of excellence including University College London (UCL) Southampton and Newcastle engineering, naval architecture, ship science and marine departments. Our 2020 plans include a range of graduate recruitment and student internship programmes. You can read more here.

The company’s plans for continued innovation in the energy and clean shipping sector count on finding the right talent at every stage in their career, including the very start. This is why we continue to develop relationships within the education sector and always welcome opportunities to engage with students. You can read more about the Strathclyde University gala dinner, organised by students, below.

“Charting a ‘solo’ course through this swirl of uncertainty is close to impossible. That’s why we’re often asked by clients to build their knowledge, evaluate their challenges and assess their options. We work closely with research funds and clean-tech providers by bringing decades of industry experience to bear. Our position is independent, technical ‘client friend’ for the decarbonising decades ahead.”
