Offshore Decommissioning Conference 2015

Houlder exhibited at the Offshore Decommissioning Conference 2015, St Andrews. Scotland,  17 – 19 November 2015.

Houlder offers a cost-efficient, quality engineering and project management service to support late-life marine assets through decommissioning and into eventual re-use or disposal. Our design, engineering and construction experience encompasses topside structures, sub-structure, offshore utilities, piping and vessels (including HP), drilling systems, lifting and handling equipment, riser terminations and operations and logistics. Houlder’s lean processes help manage risk on construction sites, offshore and in office premises. All our offices are certified by LRQA to ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001: 2007.

The Offshore Decommissioning Conference was managed by industry bodies Decom North Sea and Oil & Gas UK and provided an opportunity for the industry to come together to discuss the implications of aging assets.

Houlder ran a business card prize draw at the event. Colin Pearce is pictured presenting the prize to Carol Barbone, manager of Stakeholder Relations (Decommissioning) for BG Group.

“Charting a ‘solo’ course through this swirl of uncertainty is close to impossible. That’s why we’re often asked by clients to build their knowledge, evaluate their challenges and assess their options. We work closely with research funds and clean-tech providers by bringing decades of industry experience to bear. Our position is independent, technical ‘client friend’ for the decarbonising decades ahead.”
