Advice for Historic Vessel, HMS President

Access Feasibility Study

HMS President is moored in Central London next to Blackfriars Bridge. The Aschusa Class sloop was built in 1918 as a convoy protection vessel in the First World War. It was disguised as a merchant ship to attract German U boats before attacking with hidden weapons.

Today, the ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels and offers a more peaceful variety of function rooms and office space to the London business community.

Houlder was contracted to provide a Feasibility Study investigating options for improving the safety of the vessel and access arrangements, in particular for disabled visitors.
