Marine and Offshore Renewable Energy Conference
Houlder is delighted to announce it will be presenting two papers at the Royal Institution of Naval Architecture Marine and Renewable Energy conference in the Spring. The conference (21 - 23 April 2010) brings together Renewable Energy stakeholders to provide a forum for discussion and a means of professional development for those involved with using natural marine resources to generate energy.
Houlder’s two papers both reflect the need for cost effective engineering and design solutions as wind farms move further offshore and into deeper water.
Firstly, the company will be presenting a personnel and equipment access system designed for turbine operation and maintenance in more adverse weather conditions than existing systems.
The second paper shares the benefits of increasing the size and complexity of installation jack up vessels and discusses the potential for maximising through life value gains.
The three day conference, which sees over a dozen papers presented on a range of technical issues, will be held at RINA headquarters - 10 Upper Belgrave Street, London, SW1X 8BQ.
