Houlder works with owners, operators and energy companies on all forms of offshore engineering, marine equipment, project management, design and analysis work required to support upstream assets. Houlder works with government, international navies, prime contractors and subcontractors on all forms of floating assets including design, supply and maintenance of critical equipment. All work is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard and OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Standard as well as relevant military codes and regulations.
Houlder’s clients benefit from a broad range of design, technical assistance, analysis and supervision services. The company has a proven track record of building, modifying and maintaining ships. This includes diving and offshore support vessels, cable layers, Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax ferries, specialist use and aids to navigation vessels. The team can supervise construction at shipyards around the world including in Japan, China, South Korea and Australia.
LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is becoming increasingly viable as an alternative marine fuel. In response, Houlder is developing a range of LNG bunkering vessels and equipment as well as advising its clients on infrastructure investment and build projects. Rupert Hare has nearly twenty years' experience within Houlder focusing on project and contract management across the offshore energy and commercial marine sectors. Simon has over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of activities within the marine sector. For the past fifteen years he has been a director of ship owning and operating companies as well as engineering companies operating in the marine environment. As a chartered Naval Architect he has extensive experience of design, analysis and project management.

Peter Hickson’s experience comprises fifteen years’ within an offshore drilling and construction contracting business where, for eight years, he was the Managing Director and sat on the boards of various associated and subsidiary companies. This has been followed by a further twenty-three years operating his own company as a consultant in the Offshore industry with commercial, financial and legal clients and projects in the Far East, India, Africa, South America, USA and Europe. He has worked on over £4.0 billion of projects during this time.

Frederic Perdrix brings a wealth of Naval Architecture and Engineering knowledge and expertise to all of the company’s projects.
